Lost it by Kristen Tracy

The main character Tess comes from a very limited back ground. Her parents did not let her experience anything. They have no cable, the never let her go to parties or experience the normal teenage life. She has a fear of wild life and well pretty much of everything. One day after she finally has come to terms with her big feet her mother sees this as a sign. A sign that she the mother needs to live her life. So she just leaves to join a retreat in Utah. Tess father follows not to long after leaving Tess in the care of her really cool grandma. Tess starts seeing a boy named Ben. But Ben thinks she is diabetic when she is actually not. Her best friend Zena ( how cool is that name?) has a mental break down and has deiced to blow up a poodle.

This book is about Tess dealing with her family and best friend going crazy along with losing her v card to her first love. I could never really connect with Tess. The only time I really got excited in the book is when she mentions Portland Oregon being a democratic freedom or as one of freedoms major hubs. As this is my home town I loved that part. The rest though....I just didn't feel it. Usually when I end a book I have a feeling of wanting to read the next in the series or if that is the only one I'm left with some since of a strong feeling. This left me nothing but wondering if Ben ever calls her and being really glad that I checked it out from the library.

I rate this book as a D+ or C-. Check it out from the library if you want to read it.
