Devoured by Amanda Marrone

Megan is haunted by her twin sister, Remy. Ever since a car accident that also put her father on life support. She once tried to tell her best friend Nicki about it and ended up having to see her therapist a lot more. So for nine years she keeps this secret. Megan is seeing Ryan who is has admitted that his best friend Samantha has confessed one drunken night that she thinks the two of them are soul mates. Thus making Megan insecure and taking a job at Land of Enchantment to keep a watchful eye on the both of them. As she was getting her costume for her snow white outfit her sister Remy shows up and gives her a frightening vision of a a girl who looks like her with her heart cut out. Passing out from this vision Luke shows up and admits he can see her sister too. He admits he can see ghost and later on we find out his grandma is an empath. Megan and Luke must find out what Remy is trying to say in to them before its too late.
I really enjoyed this book. I think what I liked most about it was the fact they have people who can see ghosts. That even the extra characters, a few could hear Remy when she was being most powerful. I truly believe in ghost and I know that empaths do existed since my best friend is one. The main character had her issues but who wouldn't watching your sister die and basically your father die too. I think she was easy to connect to. I loved her best friend Nicki who was a tell it like it is but not in a bitchy way. I always love stories when they add the connection to fairy tales. The only part I had problems with is the ending. I wanna know if the family was related to Snow White and the woods man?

I give this book an A-. I enjoyed it and its a book if I found cheap I know I would like to add to my collection.

  1. This actually sounds really interesting! I'm very into ghosts right now - could be because it's Halloween, could be because I'm bored of vampires - and I adore fairytale retellings. This sounds like it's right up my street!!
